I’m a morning person. No doubt about it. Although lately, the term morning has become ridiculously early!
There’s just something about a sunrise that brings me peace and sets me on fire simultaneously. It’s the dawn of a fresh, bright, new day. Yesterday’s yesterday is just like leaves blowing on a fall day- some beautiful and not forgotten, the magic captured in your memory forever. Others dull and broken, better left to float away, the forgotten leaves. But when the golden orb wakes up and rubs the sleep from its glorious eyes, a flood of golden hues spill across the horizon chasing away the darkness of the night sky. THIS is my happy place. This is where I spend my mornings with Our Heavenly Father. This is what makes me a morning person.
Habakkuk 3:4
I’m not saying a sunset isn’t pretty spectacular, because it is. Sunsets are God’s perfect ending to the day. His way of saying goodnight to today’s troubles with a wink of his glory. But a sunrise will ALWAYS win with me.
There is beauty in everything. Even when my cat wakes me up at 3am. Ugh. The beauty- I get extra time with God in the word, and the cat, well he gets a little bit of extra love. So what are you- a morning person? A night owl? Do you prefer a sunrise or a sunset? I’d love to hear from you!
Blessings,
Robyn
